Children’s Liturgy of the Word:
This ministry serves children, ages 4-12, by proclaiming God’s Word on a level that they understand, and reflect on its meaning in their lives. Usually, this takes place at all Masses on the 2nd and 4th weekends of each month. Readers, assistants and song leaders are needed. A thirty minute prep per month is required. Contact Micheal Cervantes at 972-492-3237 X115 or [email protected].
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion:
These ministers make it possible for the sharing of the Lord’s Supper to be experienced in a timely, yet dignified and reverent manner. To serve in this capacity you must have received the Sacraments of Initiation and be in good standing with the Catholic Church. All required training will be provided. EMHC’s are encouraged to foster a devotion to the Holy Eucharist and to continue their personal growth in holiness. Contact Micheal Cervantes at 972-492-3237 X115 or [email protected].
Lector Ministry:
The task of the lector is to make God present in the Liturgy of the Word and to communicate to the congregation, the Living Word, active and present in our lives. Lectors attend a preparation and formation session, 9:15 to 10:15 am, on the Saturday morning of the weekend they are scheduled to serve. Contact Micheal Cervantes at 972-492-3237 X115 or [email protected].
