The mission of the service team is to model Christ by building bridges to our brothers and sisters through our service ministries. The team identifies the needs of the community, ensuring that our parish programs are effective in meeting those requirements that bring comfort and joy to the lives of the people we serve, embracing all physical and spiritual works of charity and justice.
The service team meets the third Wednesday evening of each month to evaluate and review the progress of past events, current programs and future activities. We offer ways to bring our community to others through the Eucharist, in times of sorrow, in times of support, through prayer and service, and by providing resources to meet basic needs of individuals and families. Through collaborative efforts with liturgy, hospitality, and formation, we seek to strengthen our parish community.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick – Trained and commissioned members bring the Eucharist to the ill and infirmed residents of our parish whether at home, hospital, assisted living, or nursing home. Chairperson: Rosemary Manganilla, [email protected].
Gabriel Angels – Trained and commissioned through Catholic Charities our members help young women in crisis pregnancy situations with emotional and spiritual support, understanding and concern, immediate and practical assistance, pregnancy information, community resources, clothing and baby items. Holy Sews – This ecumenical ministry provides handmade infant bereavement clothing for families that experience the loss of their baby during gestational weeks 16-25. We accomplish this by supplying hospitals and funeral homes with a stock of layettes that families can choose from. To see what we do go to www.holysews.org. Prayer Line – Our members pray for the intentions of parishioners, their families, friends, and others who are ill, dying or who are facing personal trials and needs. As prayer warriors we pray daily for that person until otherwise notified. Chairperson: Beth Pross, 972-245-50784, [email protected]
Respect Life – Our members promote the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death by educating parishioners on all pro-life issues as taught by the Church, through active involvement in right to life activities and events, as well as informing them on decisions reached by the government on right to life issues. Shawls of Comfort and Joy – Our members are devoted to making a shawl while offering prayers of peace and blessing for the recipient while knitting or crocheting the shawl. Knowing how to crochet or knit is helpful, but training is available. The shawl serves as a tangible reminder of the mercy, peace and compassion that can be found in God’s loving embrace. St. Vincent de Paul Society – This ministry is a non-profit international, social service organization serving people in need, regardless of race or religion. This ministry offers short-term assistance to those who have fallen upon hard times or who are experiencing a personal crisis which may require food or other assistance.
